Freelance
Freelancing & Subcontratcting
Pamela Ptak brings couture-level craftsmanship and technical expertise to a wide range of collaborators—from established New York fashion houses to emerging designers and start-up brands.
Her freelance work spans draping, pattern making, sample development, and intricate hand embellishment for Ready-to-Wear collections shown in New York, as well as Paris Haute Couture presentations. With a deep understanding of garment architecture and construction, Pamela integrates seamlessly into design teams, elevating both process and final execution.
In addition to supporting established brands, Pamela works as a sub-contractor for independent designers—designing and producing entire collections from concept through completion. Her approach combines creative direction with hands-on technical precision, ensuring each piece meets the highest standards of fit, structure, and finish.

Pamela’s work is rooted in a mastery of tailoring and form. From structured jackets and gowns to highly engineered interior constructions—such as boned corsetry and cage inserts—her process reveals the hidden architecture that defines exceptional garments.
Her experience also extends into specialized categories, including equestrian tailoring, performance wear, and one-of-a-kind statement pieces. Whether refining a silhouette or building a garment from the inside out, each project reflects a balance of innovation and tradition.
